The History Teaching Alliance
One of TAH NC's primary partners is the History Teaching Alliance led by Thomas Massey.
The History Teaching Alliance’s mission is stated as:
“Southeastern North Carolina is home to a diverse array of history educators: various historical sites and museums offer dynamic experiences to the general public, while UNCW, CFCC, and multiple high schools provide students with history classes. The History Alliance seeks to connect area history educators. The Alliance seeks to raise awareness of the myriad of resources available to educators, and to provide a forum to discuss common goals. The Alliance promotes academic and intellectual inspiration within the field of history and education.”
The History Teaching Alliance hosts events for local history educators several times each semester. Grant participants will receive emails about upcoming Alliance events. TAH NC strongly encouragses grant participants to attend.
